Check out my story. Notice anything except how weird it is?
I may want to have a celebration for the new board president. I met her, and she has a very august way about her, despite the fact she is also rather bohemian! I heard she will definitely march to the beat of her own drummer when she takes over the board meetings.
I have quite a bit to do if I want to have this event in my house. My choice is to have it outside, where I have a large space shaped as a pentagon. Even though it is the rainy season, I am hoping for an act of providence in giving us good weather. If you don’t know where I live, it is in a little hamlet called Brookside, outside of the city. I suppose if it rains, I can use the big tent my sister-n-law lent me when I had her daughter’ s wedding here. That was a really fun time, even though the mercury read 101 degrees! It won’t be a titanic crowd, so I am sure my outside space will be large enough.
The yard is pretty. I have a tall pole with a phoenix on the top that my husband brought back from his travels, which seems like another life ago.
I will need to muse about the menu. And of course, I will need to polish my china, which I rarely use anymore. I was reading through one of my cookbooks the other day and saw a great recipe for a mandarin salad, which might make a nice side dish. I thought maybe turkey would be a good main dish with maybe some french green beans, although for some strange reason, my family is fond of lima beans. I won’t touch the things! I have a good recipe for some fruit danish which might make a good dessert. The handmade pastry is very light and wonderful.
I asked our new board president what she saw as our main objective. She said she would like to orient the company toward more cancer research, and I wholeheartedly agree.
Now what am I going to wear? I have a lovely long jersey dress that is navy blue with kind of an earth green trim. It doesn’t sound great, but you should see it! And I paid a fortune for it and haven’t ever worn it.

The words in bold are called capitonyms. I actually wrote a blog post about capitonyms last year with a different focus. Capitonyms are words that have a different meaning when they are capitalized as opposed to lowercase. So, mainly they are specific names of either people or things or places, when they are capitalized. Last time I wrote about people’s names that are capitonyms (Wade, Faith, April, Dawn, etc.) This time I tried to stay away from people’s names and use other proper nouns as their common nouns version.
