The American Dialect Society has an entire ceremony with multiple categories for words of the year — kind of like the Academy Awards of words.

Every year, various dictionaries like to come up with a Word of the Year. Sometimes the dictionaries agree; sometimes they don’t. In 2022 dictionaries all went their own ways…

What are you reading? What are your favorite books? What is your favorite book? What was your favorite book as a child? Has any book changed your life?

I am one of those people who cannot remember what a book (or movie) was about three minutes after I finish it, unless it was very special.
